Service & Fellowship Opportunities

Listed here are the various service and fellowship opportunities as they exist at Christ Lutheran.  It is with great joy that we can particpate to serve the Lord!  Getting involved in one of these groups is also a great way to get to know people better.  For more information you are kindly asked to call the Pastor, 662-5004, or the respective chairperson listed.

Mary/ Martha Society- 2nd Thursday, 6:30 pm, Mrs. Janet Harder

Ladies’ Guild- 1st Thursday, 12:30 pm, Mrs. Caroline Wieselmann
This ladies group also gathers for Pastor-led Bible study, and is an opportunity for those who wish to gather during the day for Christian fellowship.

Altar Guild- meets as needed, Mrs. Gail Laschen
These ladies do excellent work as they faithfully prepare the altar for public worship, changing paraments, placement of flowers, setting out the elements for Communion, etc.

Children’s Choir- Cherub & Junior Choirs, Mrs. Carol Mack & Mrs. Delaine Kom
Each child (grades 1-8) at Christ Lutheran School is invited to join one of our children’s choirs.  The Cherub Choir (grades 1-3) and the Junior Choir (grades 4-8) rehearse each Friday for ½ hour during the school day.  It is during these practice times that the children learn the music that they will sing for church.  Our choir also sings special music for the Christmas and Easter festivals.  It is through these two choirs that the children are able to express their thanks and special praises to God.

Senior Choir- every Thursday, 7:00 pm, Mrs. Delaine Kom

The Senior Choir practices weekly and sings in the Sunday worship services according to schedule.  A special concert is given at Christmas.  Membership in the choir is open to all who desire to praise our Lord in song and to edify the worship experience.

High School Basketball for boys & girls- Mr. Mike Carow
