Mission and Content:
Thank you for considering Christ Lutheran Preschool as the preschool program for your child. The goal of our program is to offer a Christ-centered early childhood education to the members of Christ Lutheran Church, as well as to the families in our community. It is certainly our privilege as parents and as teachers to share the wonderful news of God’s saving grace with these children. They need to hear how Jesus loves them, died for them, and rose again to take away their sins. What a comfort it is for them to know that they will live in heaven with their Friend some day! How easy it is to teach them that out of love for our Savior we will want to speak and act only in ways that please Him!
Our mission is to “make disciples” of all the children enrolled in our program -- based on the words of Jesus found in Matthew 28:19.
Our program also helps to acquaint young children with a loosely structured classroom setting and exposes them to many new social experiences. At the beginning of every session a Bible lesson is taught. Then, through play and activities related to the lesson, the children are encouraged to practice and exercise artistic creativity, listening skills, expression of thoughts and feelings, social skills, large and small muscle coordination, problem solving, recognition of colors, numbers, letters, and much more!
Enrollment Policy:
Our program is open to children that will be three or four years old by September 1st of the present school year.
1) Members of ChristLutheranChurch and sister congregations are given the first priority in enrolling their children in our preschool.
2) Parents who are not members of Christ Lutheran Church and do not have a present church home are considered mission prospects and thus are given opportunity to enroll their children as positions become available after February 15th.
3) Parents and their families presently active in another church body not of our fellowship may enroll their children in our program as positions become available after February 15th, but are not guaranteed a position in our program until June 1st.
Parents not belonging to a WELS (Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod) congregation are strongly encouraged to attend church and enroll in our Adult Information Class to learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ as it is taught in our preschool program.

Arrival and Dismissal
Students are allowed in the classroom thirty minutes before class begins and should be picked up no later than ten minutes after class is dismissed.
Due to the policies of our Mukwonago Public School district and its transportation company, busing is usually not available for preschool students. Parents must contact the bus company if they are requesting exceptions to this rule. The school will not contact the bus company to seek exceptions.
Mukwonago Hanks Transportation: 363-7176.
Before and After School Care
We do offer an early arrival room for children that need to arrive at school between 7:00 A.M. and 7:30 A.M. There is an additional fee for this service of $30.00 per year.
We do not offer after school day care at this time. Parents needing this service will need to make private arrangements.
Health
Students entering preschool must be up-to-date on required immunizations. A physical and dental examination are recommended, but not required for preschool students before they enter school. Parents are asked to fill out a general health questionnaire so that the teacher is aware of any allergies or other health concerns that may affect the child’s functioning at school.
Snacks
Parents are required to provide the class with a snack at periodic times during the school year. The teacher will distribute a schedule for snacks at the beginning of the school year.
Milk
All of our four year old preschoolers are encouraged to purchase milk for snack time. This milk is paid for at the school registration meetings held during August. Students who do not purchase milk will need to supply their own snack beverage.
Parent Helpers
Parents are not required to help in the classroom, but are highly encouraged to do so as the opportunities arise.
So that all parents have an equal chance to help in the classroom, it is suggested that they help during the weeks they are scheduled to bring the snack. There are also other times when volunteers are needed, such as drivers and chaperones for field trips.
Dress
Because the children will be involved in physical indoor and outdoor activities, they should be dressed in comfortable, washable clothing. Any shoes worn should have rubber, non-marking soles.
Discipline
Jesus our Savior says, “If you love Me, you will obey what I command.” In our Christian preschool, we will work to teach the children to follow God’s commands out of love for Him. We aim to design corrective measures in such a way that the students’ feelings about right and wrong are developed and guided by the Word of God!
Miscellaneous
Communication is encouraged between parents and teacher. A weekly preschool newsletter, as well as a weekly school newsletter, will be sent home so that parents are aware of what is happening in the classroom and at the school in general.
All preschoolers are required to provide some of their own supplies, such as a backpack and a pocket folder. Your child’s teacher will provide you with a complete supply list during the summer months.
