MISSION STATEMENT

Christ Lutheran Church exists to bring glory to God, to make disciples for Him, and to minister to people's needs . . .

*  by worshipping God faithfully

* by reaching out to the lost

* by nurturing God's people for lives of service

OUR OBJECTIVES

* be faithful to the Scriptures and to our confessional Lutheran heritage

* join together regularly in meaningful worship

* bring the message of salvation to lost sinners

* involve members in a comprehensive study of God's Word

* equip God's people for lives of Christian service

* provide for the training of future leaders and called workers

* offer help and encouragement to peole in need

* offer Scriptural counsel for people in distress

 

This mission statement gives us our purpose for existence, and it is an everlasting purpose.  In other words, as we strive to carry out our congregaitonal objectives, what we do will have beneficial consequences for all eternity.  And that gives us a deep-down joy and satisfaction such as can not be found anywhere else in life.  If you're visiting in the Big Bend area and don't as yet have a church home, we invite you to contact the pastor about becoming part of God's family here at Christ Lutheran.  Know the joy of living a life that will have meaning for all eternity in the presence of God!
