Ladies Bible Study:

The Ladies meet weekly on Thursdays, 9:30 am -11:30 am in the church narthex. Any questions call Gail Flister at 847-922-9904.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study:

All are invited to the Tuesday Morning Bible Study which begins on Tuesday, September 15th at 9:30 am and will go for 8 weeks studying the Book of Acts. It will be held in the church. If any questions, please contact Ken Gawrisch at 414-469-7782.

Book of Revelations: led by Pastor Sorum

A conversational study of Revelations as a symbolic book of motivation and comfort for believers facing trials rather than a literal chronological timeline or a blueprint for a future earthly millennium. This study is designed to help participants navigate the complex imagery of the Book of Revelation and apply its truths to modern societal shifts.

People Bible's Teaching Series entitled: Civil Government "God's Other Kingdom” led by Pastor Walta

This book contrasts the temporal kingdom of the State, which uses reason, natural law, and force to restrain outward evil, with the spiritual kingdom of the Church, which uses the Word and divine revelation to renew the inner person. It traces scriptural support from Genesis through Romans 13, emphasizing that civil government is appointed by God to maintain law and order. It helps Christians navigate their responsibilities, duties, and attitudes as citizens of both an earthly nation and the heavenly kingdom.

Bible Instruction Class led by Mark Singer.

This is our introductory class for those who want to explore the Christian faith, whether potential new members or a refresher for current members. This class explores the basic Bible teachings in Luther’s Small Catechism. This will be a 12 weeks course.

Christ Kids Sunday School:

Sunday Mornings 10:30 am- 11:30 am located in the church basement.

Christ Kids Sunday School is open to all children. This includes children’s bible lessons, singing and fun crafts, activities & games.

Group 1: Age 3K -3rd Grade

Group 2: 4th -6th Grade

CHRIST TEENS:

Sunday Mornings 10:30 am- 11:30 am

7th Grade though High School

The first 4 weeks will be a study on Corinthians, and last 8 weeks will be timely conversations topics. Learn about solving real-life problems using Paul's letters to the Corinthians and explore biblical application to issues effecting teens today.

Confirmation Class:

Our youth confirmation program is a two year program for 7th & 8th grade students. This instructional class is where students study the Bible and Martin Luther's Small Catechism to prepare for a public confession of their faith, including key Bible history, the Ten Commandments, the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, Baptism, the Lord's Supper, and more.

Weekly classes begin in September and run through the school year. The day & time for public school kids will depend on what is best for the families enrolled.   Children in Christ Lutheran School will have confirmation class during their school day.  If interested please contact Pastor Walta at (414) 553-1879, call or text; or email cwalta@christbigbend.com to enroll your child.
